That’s Devastate, live from Las Vegas and summoning demons for an upcoming Hump Jones collaboration cut. We’re all going through Sensory Withdrawl after Rhinofest, which was an awesome experience. Rhinofest should definitely have Wombaticus Rex come back next year and do an even bigger, crazier show.
Dr. Quandary is working at the center of the storm, doing some graphic design and simultaneously fine-tuning mixes from his upcoming project, Sigils, which will be dropping August 18th. I got a psychedelically enhanced listening party preview earlier today and give it three thumbs up. Keep your ears peeled.
Louis “Destroyer of All Things” Mackey is actually AWOL as I’m writing this — the dude very nearly ran out of here about 20 minutes ago, no reasons given, and he has yet to re-appear. Lou is a sufficiently intense individual that we’re not worried, though.
NEXT ON THE MANIFESTO: Positive Pie, Montpelier Vermont on August 13th. That’s next Saturday for those of you keeping score at home. We’re going to be stretching out and delivering an end-to-end guided tour of my whole catalog, from Wombaticus to Hump Jones to Algorhythms…and that’s just the opening act. After that, we bring on Witness, the Philly/Minneapolis jazz rap songwriter extraordinaire…who is touring with an outstanding LIVE BAND. This show is going to be out of control, and at $5…it’s best thing going in the state that night.
